Rootz Kava Lounge is the best newest addition to Deland! The space is super cozy and cute with warm earthy island vibes. They offer an amazing selection of teas and Kava, my favorites are the Sour Candy green tea and the Strawberry Cream kava. They have lots of bar seating, tables, and couches. They have board games, a pool table, and different specials and events every week. The owners are so personable and kind, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for everyone. I highly recommend!

Rootz has created a community with their guests, the owners Alex and Natalie take the time to get to know their guests which makes the experience worth while. This has to be by far my favorite kava bar, I would definitely recommend to everyone!

Rootz is hands down my favorite place to hang out in DeLand. Before coming here, I’d never even heard of kava or kratom, but after trying them, I was instantly hooked, but more than anything what keeps me coming back is the amazing vibes and wonderful people that make Rootz so special. Since moving to DeLand, I’ve met some of the friendliest and most welcoming people here. The bar itself is always clean, super pet-friendly, and has a great sense of community. Rootz also hosts fun events and activities throughout the month, so even if kava and kratom isn’t your thing, it’s still a fantastic spot to relax and meet new people. And if you ARE into kava, Rootz has delicious kava ice cream you can’t find anywhere else. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, it’s definitely worth a try!
