Last updated: February 3, 2026
Effective date: February 3, 2026
Company: BestKavaBar, Inc. (d/b/a HappyKava) (“HappyKava,” “we,” “us,” “our”)
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use HappyKava’s mobile application, websites, and related services, including any owner/staff portal and in‑app features (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Quick Summary
We collect information you provide (account details, profile info, content you submit), device/usage data, and location data when you enable it (for nearby discovery, check-ins, and fraud prevention).
Passport requires validation. When you redeem a Passport offer at a bar, the bar’s staff may see limited on-screen information (e.g., your in-app name/photo and a security indicator) to verify a live redemption.
Payments are handled by a checkout partner. We do not store full payment card numbers; we receive limited transaction/entitlement details.
We don’t sell your personal information.
You control permissions (location, notifications, photos) and can request access/deletion of your data.

When you create or use an account, we may collect:
Name, email address, login credentials (or authentication tokens), and basic profile fields.

Support anti-fraud and eligibility rules for certain redemptions.
You can disable location access at any time in device settings. Some features may not function without it.
1.4 Check-Ins, Redemptions, and Program Activity
When you check in or redeem a deal/program (including Passport), we may collect:
Bar/location identifier, timestamp, and program identifiers.
Validation status and anti-fraud signals (e.g., whether a redemption was attempted, allowed, blocked, or completed).
Device identifiers used to help prevent duplicate/fraudulent activity.

If you purchase Passport (or other paid features), we collect:

Limited transaction metadata (e.g., checkout session/payment confirmation identifiers) from our checkout/payment partner.
If you use referral links or campaigns, we may collect attribution data (e.g., referral code, UTM parameters).
We do not store full card numbers. Payment information is collected and processed by the checkout/payment provider.

Reports/flags if you report a conversation or message for abuse/safety review.
1.7 Photos, Media, and User-Submitted Content
If you upload content (photos, suggestions, reports, event info, etc.), we collect what you submit and associated metadata (e.g., time, bar/event association).
