  Stepping into this Kava Bar feels like entering a serene oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This was my second time here, and once again, I'm in awe by the breathtaking atmosphere that envelopes you as soon as you walk through the door. The ambiance is nothing short of magical, with soft lighting, cozy seating arrangements, and a soothing aura that immediately puts you at ease. The service here is amazing. The owner is not not only knowledgeable about his offerings but also incredibly friendly and attentive. He takes the time to explain kava and all it has to offer. There is the sense of community and belonging that I have never experienced before. The people here, from fellow patrons to the owner, create an environment that instantly makes you feel at home. It's a space where you can unwind, connect with others, and feel a sense of camaraderie that is rare to find. You can't help but feel connected to everyone and everything around you. This place welcomes you with open arms and ensures that every visit is as comforting and enriching as the last. If you're looking for a place where you can truly disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with yourself and others, look no further!

  Mystic Water is a magical place that primarily serves Kava, a powdered root "tea" with a long tradition from the Polynesian islands; no alcohol is served here. Kava has been used traditionally to bring communities together. It is relaxing, enhances sociability & openness, & provides a mild euphoria at slightly higher doses. I drive up from the San Fernando Valley nearly every week on Friday, sometimes also on Saturday for the monthly "Black Swan" events, or an occasional Sunday evening visit. Regulars as well as new folks often show up to enjoy sharing Kava, or to try it for the first time, and the bar often turns into a room of respectfully congenial friends, with often inspiring conversations about a variety of subjects that may lean toward the mystical, spiritual & other fascinating & thought provoking subjects. With the magic of Kava, there is created a delightful social environment where one may safely drop their social mask & easily connect with others without the brash, awkward, often imposing & off-putting negative effects that can accompany alcohol consumption. Avi, the owner-operator of Mystic Water, is a man with a fascinating, storied past full of remarkable experiences, & he often prompts intriguing, sometimes challenging, & inspiring conversations with and among his guests, who vary widely in age and background. I have been coming to Mystic Water nearly every week for about two years now, and it is always a socially fulfilling, soul-nourishing experience where I have met new friends, learned new things, and from which I typically leave feeling inspired, uplifted, restored, and at peace, thanks to the magic of Kava, and the wonderful people Avi and his Kava draw in. Mystic Water has become my first & favorite choice for public social engagement, stress relief, and a sense of belonging.

  I was in a mass trauma accident that caused a leison on my sciatica nerve which is the source for peripheral neuropathy. I found kava to be a great source of pain relief. I also found it tremendously helpful in getting relaxed muscles prior to a deep, therapeutic stretch. Highly recommended for post surgery pain relief, or prepare muscles before therapeutic stretching.
