Frisco Kava Bar is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Non-Alcoholic Bartender to join our team. As a Kavatender, you will interact directly with customers, ensuring a positive and engaging experience while promoting the Kava Bar through various digital channels. At Frisco Kava Bar, we're more than just a kava bar—we're also a holistic wellness store. What makes us unique is that we offer guests a complete wellness experience, featuring premium kava beverages alongside a carefully curated selection of natural wellness products designed to support better sleep, stress relief, focus, energy, recovery, and overall well-being. As a Kava Tender, you'll educate guests on our kava drinks, kratom beverages, herbal teas, matcha, adaptogens, medicinal mushrooms, CBD products, and other natural wellness solutions. Your role is to understand each guest's wellness goals, confidently recommend products and beverages that align with their needs, and create an exceptional customer experience that builds trust and long-term relationships. No prior knowledge of kava or holistic wellness is required but a plus. We provide comprehensive training for every employee, including product education, wellness fundamentals, customer service, and consultative sales techniques. Our goal is to equip every team member with the knowledge and confidence needed to educate guests, make personalized recommendations, and contribute to the success of both the kava bar and wellness store. What you’ll own
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Provide information on Kava products, their benefits, and menu options
- Educate guests on kava, kratom, and other wellness products
- Prepare and serve high-quality kava drinks while developing innovative, wellness-focused mocktail recipes
- Point of Sale (POS) Transactions: Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of kava offerings, including preparation methods and their health benefits
- Inventory & Stocking: Assist in managing inventory levels and ensure the bar area is well stocked and organized
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure that the Kava Bar space is clean, inviting, and up to health standards, both front-of-house and behind-the-scenes
- Customer Engagement: Build rapport with customers, ensure satisfaction, and create a welcoming, relaxing environment
- Content Creation: Create engaging social media content for social media (photos, videos, graphics, and captions) that reflects the Frisco Kava Bar brand and resonates with our community
- Community Engagement: Respond to customer comments and messages on social media in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
- Promotions & Events: Host and facilitate in store events like: Karaoke night, Open Mic night, Trivia night, Kava pong, and other fun events
- Collaborations & Partnerships: Assist in coordinating collaborations with local businesses and influencers to increase visibility and brand awareness
What helps you thrive
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Naturally friendly, welcoming, and comfortable engaging with people
- Kava knowledge or experience working in a Kava Bar is PLUS
- Experience: Previous retail and customer service experience required. Knowledge of holistic wellness products and social media experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong social media presence with knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
- Basic photography and video editing skills are a plus
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for wellness and healthy lifestyle is highly preferred
- Personality: Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
