Smoke Shop Manager in Training (MIT) Tallahassee, FL Job Type: Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week) About Us Poppy Vape + Kava Bar Lounge operates multiple retail and lounge locations throughout the Tallahassee area, offering kava, kratom, botanical beverages, vape products, nicotine products, hemp-derived THC products, and mushroom products. We are seeking a motivated and dependable Manager in Training to join our leadership team and develop into a future Store Manager. Responsibilities Learn all aspects of store operations and management Lead by example in customer service and sales Deliver exceptional customer service and help create an outstanding customer experience Assist with employee training, coaching, and development Help maintain store appearance, organization, cleanliness, and visual standards Support inventory management, merchandising, product placement, and promotional displays Ensure products are properly stocked, priced, labeled, and displayed Create attractive and effective merchandising displays that drive sales Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations Stay informed on industry trends, product knowledge, and changing regulations Assist with opening and closing procedures Work alongside multiple store teams and managers to learn different operational styles Help drive sales, customer retention, and overall store performance Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Must have open scheduling availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Reliable transportation is required Must be willing to rotate between six Tallahassee-area locations Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Reliable, positive, hardworking, and professional Ability to lead a team while maintaining a positive work environment Ability to collaborate effectively with other managers and team members Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment Previous management, retail, hospitality, customer service, or leadership experience is preferred Passion for the smoke shop, vape, hemp, kava, and alternative wellness industries Interest in merchandising, store presentation, and product displays Commitment to learning new products, regulations, and industry developments A genuine desire to help customers and build lasting relationships Must be drama-free and able to maintain a professional workplace atmosphere Must be willing to help support stores during emergencies, call-outs, or unexpected staffing situations Flexible team player who is willing to step in when needed to help ensure store success What We Offer Leadership development and hands-on management training Opportunities for advancement into Store Manager positions Employee discount A supportive and team-focused environment The opportunity to work with multiple teams and locations Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, positive, hardworking, and eager to grow. What you’ll own

• Learn all aspects of store operations and management
