Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance about kava beverages, smoking accessories, and other products Conduct product demos to educate customers on new items and enhance their shopping experience Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling Upsellcomplementary products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh inventory Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and organizing backstock Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping environment

Requirements

Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred, with a strong focus on customer service Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail or hospitality setting is advantageous Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately during transactions Strong phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone Knowledge of smoking accessories, kava products, or related merchandise is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential

Starting pay is $14.00 per hour. After a 90-day performance review, employees who meet or exceed expectations will be eligible for a merit-based pay increase.
