Job Title: General Manager Company: Decades Kava Social Lounge Job Type: Full-Time (40+ hours/week) Compensation: $20.00/hour (plus 1.5x overtime) + Lucrative Performance Bonuses Overview Decades Kava Social Lounge is looking for a driven, hands-on General Manager to lead our operations, inspire our team, and drive our growth. We aren't just pouring drinks; we are building a vibrant, relaxed community space centered around kava and botanical teas. As the GM, you will be the engine that keeps the lounge running smoothly—expertly balancing floor operations, staff management, and backend financials. If you have a sharp eye for keeping costs in check, a talent for leadership, and the hustle to hit high sales targets, we want you at the helm. Compensation & Bonus Structure We believe in aggressively rewarding performance. In addition to your hourly base and overtime pay, this position offers a monthly performance bonus structure. When the lounge achieves a 15% net profit margin, you earn: 1% bonus on gross monthly sales between $50,000 and $74,999 2% bonus on gross monthly sales between $75,000 and $99,999 5% bonus on gross monthly sales exceeding $100,000 Responsibilities Floor Operations & Leadership: Lead by example on the floor, ensuring a welcoming, high-energy environment and exceptional customer service from the entire staff. Staff Management: Build, train, and manage our team of Kava Tenders. Handle all weekly scheduling to ensure proper coverage across daily shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Inventory & Production: Oversee all botanical beverage production, monitor product freshness, process inventory orders, and keep all supplies well-stocked. Financial Targets: Actively manage day-to-day operations to hit strict labor and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) percentages to ensure the lounge achieves its profitability goals. Administrative Duties: Handle essential backend tasks, properly route all business expenses for prior approval, and uphold strict company confidentiality and property policies. Skills & Requirements Proven management experience in the hospitality, bar, or café industry. Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience managing labor costs, COGS, and inventory levels. Open availability and the flexibility to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business dictates. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to keep a fast-paced environment running flawlessly. Familiarity with standard POS systems (like Clover) and back-office management software.
