About this previous role

How Kava Nirvana Speakeasy - Kava Bar described the role.

Kava Nirvana Speakeasy is looking for a charismatic, high-energy, and reliable Kavatender to join our team in Cape Coral. We are a brand-new speakeasy kava bar and the sister company to the established Kava Nirvana Fort Myers. We aren't just a bar; we are a community-focused sanctuary providing a premium botanical experience. If you have a passion for plant-based wellness and love the art of "soulful" hospitality, we want to meet you. The Role As a Kavatender, you are the face of the Nirvana experience. You’ll be responsible for crafting high-quality Kava, Kratom, and botanical elixirs while maintaining an atmosphere that is equal parts chill and vibrant. You are a mixologist, an educator, and a host. Key Responsibilities Botanical Mixology: Prepare and serve traditional Kava, specialty Kratom teas, and custom botanical mocktails with consistency and flair. Guest Education: Guide newcomers through our menu, explaining the effects and origins of Kava and Kratom with confidence. Vibe Management: Curate the "Speakeasy" atmosphere through dressing the part, and genuine engagement with our regulars. Keep it Clean: Maintain a pristine bar area and lounge environment, ensuring all health and safety standards are met. Community Building: Foster a welcoming, inclusive space where every guest feels like a local. What You Bring to the Table Proven Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume Server, Barista, or Bartender role is required. You should be comfortable multitasking and managing a service station. Personality: You are naturally outgoing, empathetic, and able to handle a fast-paced environment with a smile. Knowledge: Previous experience with Kava/Kratom is a major plus, but a willingness to learn is required. Reliability: You show up on time, take initiative, and work well with a team. Flexibility: Availability for nights and weekends is essential. Integrity: You handle transactions accurately and treat the space with respect. Why Kava Nirvana? Be part of a brand-new location with the backing of a successful sister shop. A unique, relaxed work environment far removed from the "standard" bar scene. Competitive tips and employee discounts. Opportunity to grow within a local business that values its community. A chance to be part of the booming botanical wellness industry. Ready to join the flow? Send us a message with your resume and a brief note about why you’d be a great fit for the Nirvana team!
